Battambang Provincial Authority Asks All Home and Business Owners to Remove Commercial Labels in Conservation Building Areas

BATTAMBANG: The Battambang Provincial Administration issued a notice on the improvement and arrangement of aesthetics in the area of the Battambang City Conservation Building on 25 February 2022, declaring that all home and business owners in the area of the Conservation Building from Street 1 to Street 3, must cut advertising signs and logos in front of the building.

According to the announcement, the Battambang Provincial Administration is honored to inform all home and business owners that the need to remove these signs and logos is in order to improve the beauty, order and value of the conservation buildings under construction in Battambang city.

The notice states, "The provincial administration will maintain order in the area of the conservation building from Street 1 to Street 3 (from Damrei Sor pagoda to Piphithearam pagoda) and houses around Battambang Central Market (cloth market), requiring homeowners and all businesses in the above locations participate in the implementation of the provincial administration."

The authorities require homeowners and businesses located along these roads to remove all billboards, and all other signs, from sidewalks and verandas, in accordance with the regulations on the placement of billboards and homestead signs in protected areas and businesses, which states that they are not allowed to display such billboards and signs on the street in front of the conservation building.

The provincial administration hopes that all home and business owners in the above stated locations will cooperate with a high sense of responsibility.
